Right now, I’m working on applying machine learning to biotechnological projects within the startup space.
I'm also currently seeking research opportunities within ACM and CS.
Contributed to a grant-funded project by designing and building a low-cost bioreactor to support biomanufacturing education in Utah. Achieved substantial cost savings utilizing off-the-shelf parts and designing precise PID and fuzzy control system for stable fermentation.
Developed data acquisition tools for pollutant diffusion studies in Utah’s Salt Lake Valley. Leveraged Python to automate data processing, enhancing research on local atmospheric pollution with improved data accuracy through quadratic interpolation.
Built a “smart shoe”, integrating Kalman filtering and a 6DOF IMU for real-time foot-strike classification.
I'm always open to connecting and discussing new opportunities. Feel free to reach out to me at kyleberkson@gmail.com or kberkson@caltech.edu.
